It's That Time Of Year Again!

The Best Beauty Tips To Look Good During Winter
Well, winter is here again an you know what that means! Changing your beauty routine to accommodate the cold. Yes, it can be a pain but it will do your skin, and your looks some good. And isn't that what we all want? To look good, right? Read on...

First Things First
You know how the cold seems to do something to all the makeup? Especially the liquid makeup like foundations, cream concealers, either in a pot or a tube and mascaras. It seems to get goopy and clumpy, even if you bought a brand new one just a day ago, the cold can ruin a good make up. Even some of the mineral powders that are supposed to glide on silky smooth-guaranteed-don't. Why is this? Because the cold seems to change the consistency of the make up compounds that hold it together and make it flow better. The cold can damage the makeup and change the smooth way it applies to the skin. Even lipsticks start to glop up. So what to do about it?

The Quickest-Secret Fix
Well, there are a few things you can do to get your makeup flowing properly again. First of all, you must get the makeup, no matter what kind, to at least room temperature- and quick. This is where the woman's perfect makeup warming secret comes into play. Our never ending body heat. That's right ladies! Our body heat is the perfect thing to get the makeup running smooth once again. It si just enough to warm it up, but not too much where you are buring yourself because you left it in the microwave for too long.

So here's what you do. While you are washing your face, take the tubes or pots of makeup you know you will be wearing and stick them in your waistband around your hip. If kept there long enough, it will warm up the makeup-no matter what it is- just enough to get it moving right again. It should warn it up enough so you can apply evenly and without any clumps in your concealer or lipstick. And your eyeliner won't feel like it's poking you anymore, either.

A Bit of Precaution
Just remember that the eyeliner can heat a bit quicker as it is the most exposed to the skin and try to warm it no more than 5 minutes unless it is a jumbo size, otherwise it will melt too much and it will start running everywhere. And also remember that mascara takes a bit longer to warm up because your body heat needs to penetrate the mascara tube completely. So give it about 15 minutes or more in the waistband. Otherwise you might still have clumps and you know what that means! Tarantula eyes! Eek!

And Another Thing About Lashes...
Another way to keep the clumps away in the cold? A warm lash curler. Yup, same concept as the warm mascara. You see, when the lash curler is cold, or if you apply warm mascara to cold eyelashes, it will change the temperature again and make the mascara clump up again, an then all that time was wasted trying to warm the mascara! So, instead of having to do double time trying to get the mascara oto go on right two or three times, just do everything one ime and warm all your appliances up at once. You can stick the curler in the palm of your hands and rub for awhile, or you could use a real quick way, just be careful not to overdo it.

Just Be Careful, Girl!
If you have a blow dryer with a low setting, wait-of course you do! What was I thinking? Anyway, use the blow dryer on the lowest setting for a few seconds to warm he curler up. Just make sure not to overdo it so that you burn yourself. That is no kind of fun, le me tell you. I've done it and it took almost a month for my lashes to grow back!
In The End-It's All How You Heat It
Just remember, when you are heating the makeup, you are about to put it on your face. So you want to make sure that none of it is too hot for your skin. The last thing you want is to burn yourself, that's for sure! I have done it, and it is not fun! SO what you want to do is test the heat on the inside of your wrist, NOT your fingers. Your fingers are desensitized to the heat because they are exposed to hot and cold all the time. Now your wrists, on the other hand, are very sensitive and a good rule of thumb is if it is too how for your wrist, it's too hot for your face! And it's the truth.

Finished Perfect Look
You know how they say always test a baby's milk on your inner wrist? This is why. Same concept. So always test and if the temperature feels right on your wrist, then go ahead and apply it to your face, it shouldn't hurt. Just remember to be cautious, and you should be fine.
